@mtilson: I had the same situation where my discount was keeping me from integrating. After a two-hour call with Sprint, I was able to get them to temporarily remove the discount, allowing me to integrate, and have them re-establish the discount. They even called me back the next day to confirm that everything was working with he integration.
I just got my electronic copy of my bill and everything is still in place (discount is intact). So I'd say it's very possible to get the integration and keep your discount, but be sure that you have everyone you talk to at Sprint annotate in your trouble ticket notes to re-establish your discount (just in case).
I may have simply been lucky, I don't know; but I was persistent and I made sure I knew what I was talking about. I talked to about six different techs/service representatives before I got to someone in the "tech department" that had a clue about the integration. Several people along the way tried to have me do the "number porting" process. I refused to go through with it because it is DEAD WRONG and the representative didn't have the right information for doing the integration.
Be persistent and polite. You'll eventually get to someone that can help. At least they are aware of the problem with their system and are working to correct it. It may be better to just wait until they've updated their system AND educated their staff.
