Appreciate the suggestion. My Google Chat in GV was checked to have calls forwarded to it and the email account right. I've unchecked and rechecked that, also signed out of Google Talk on my phone and back in, and signed out of Chat in Gmail in my browser, and back in. Tried calling with unchecked and then checked back again from external numbers (3 separate providers) and no joy yet calling in to the GV #. I can call out from Chat to any phone, from Voice in browser and from my phone to any phone, just can't get external calls in. It's not a GV Lite # either.
