i think if you add some feature to your google translate it will be very strong
you can add abbreviation and phrase and picture dictionary to google translate
user can choose what branch of science is his or her intention
and select it and write the word or sentence such as :

another example :
MIS : management information systems    or
Michigan International Speedway    or
managed internet service  and ...
 
or if user select computer science and then wrote gate : it means IC or integration complex and then explain about it .
if google translate  can add picture to them it will be excellent .
