Henri, thanks for saying what needed to be said. I run OpenWonderland on Linux, not Windows or a Mac. I develop on Linux. I do not have a Windows partition and have not run Windows since I ran 3.1 under Wabi and Caldera OpenLinux almost 15 years ago. I want to run Sketchup natively and not under Wine. Let's face it, Google got it's start back when, and the Linux Community aided them. When I worked at RedHat, Bob Young announced, one day, that we should use Google in-house for net search functions as he wanted to see his friends become successful. So, we all dutifully did. And Google has prospered mightily from that point on.

So, in like manner, I'm trying to prosper with my own project, using open source solutions. I'd like to see that initial gift-debt come back with support for Linux, in whatever Google does, in any project they undertake. So, yes I'll add myself as both a pain-in-the-ass, and as a begging groveling supplicant, Sketchup for Linux! We are not a second-rate also-ran OS. But that is how I feel we're treated. Ric
