Definitely start in SketchUp (preferably with a 3D model) and only use LayOut as a 2D output tool for the shop drawings.
As for hand drawn effect, ceck out the styles dialog (Window menu). There are a bunch of pre-installed styles but you can generate your own (use StyleBuilder) or download/install others' styles. |
