Building Maker is a web application. The web/html/javascript/svg is a standard. I don't see a reason why Building Maker needs to redirect users to an error page, instead it would be nice to offer modeling without 3d preview if the Plugin is not available.
However it's possible to avoid the redirect by using a Windows browser in Wine (let's see it positive, lots of users would like to have it on mobile platforms, we have at least a compatibility layer). 1. First you install a Windows browser (Firefox works fine in Wine). 2. Install Google Earth with the "alternative installer" (which has >10MB, not the installer with automatic updater). This installer adds the Google Earth Plugin, too. 3. Access Building Maker in the Windows version of Firefox and have fun! |
