Also pointlessly throwing my complaint into the pot. I can live with the bloated whitespace, it looks like crap but I can live with it. Can't stand the sluggish loading times and lag though. Before, articles would load as fast as I could click them, even sometimes fast enough to trip me up and cause me to accidentally click on a title link if an article took up the whole screen. Now? Now I could click through a couple titles and have to sit there for a few seconds before the reader catches up. Heck, I have time to read entire summary blurbs sometimes before it gets around to opening the next feed link I'd clicked on. I haven't been able to outpace computer systems like that, short of (for example) drowning Firefox in a couple dozen simultaneous new tabs, since I was in grade school and could regularly crash the old DOS-like systems the local library ran. TLDR - Whitespace sucks but can be dealt with. Sluggish response is a deal-breaker though... |
