I am having the same problem as everyone else, but with my scanner. I try to import from my scanner, and it freezes in the middle of a scan. I have to shut off the printer, Picasa, and the computer with ctrl/alt/dlt because Picasa will not shut down. I have Windows 7, and Picasa 3.8. I never had this problem with XP. I cannot get any photos loaded for fooling around with Picasa. It's a great program...WHEN IT WORKS. I'm going to look for another program, because the only answer I have ever seen from Google is Upgrade.  I already have the latest version. I can't take this any more.
