Was just able to totally bypass 2 step verification on my laptop!

  1. My Laptop  was not able to access my GMail account because my Android phone wasn't receiving SMS verification codes. 
    • My Android Samsung Galaxy Note was still able to access Gmail & everything else Google.
  2. At the bottom right of my Laptop screen I get these notifications that I've received new GMail. 
  3. I clicked on one of those messages & it took me directly into my Gmail account without requiring any 2-step verification code!? 
  4. From there I was able to access everything Google in my account!
