It seems that one solution is to root the phone and then disable the search key.
Someone reported using CyanogenMod to do this.
You could probably also do it with ButtonMapper from beansoft.
I haven't tried it as I am not a techno geek when comes to phones so not sure of the pluses and minuses of rooting the Nexus S.
Has anyone here had any luck doing this?
If it is easy to do I would definitely consider it at least until google comes out with a fix. |
