Good to know whether this bug can still happen with the latest hardware or not. I was in the process of getting ready to send mine in via Telus for the three strikes repair process with samsung which a co-worker went through (six weeks without a phone as it makes 2 week trips across Canada to Quebec to have Samsung do a factory reset and send it back.
I said to hell with it and flashed baseband KB2, problem solved for now. No sense wasting six weeks for an exchange on hardware that can still have the bug.
Me and my co-worker bought our phones at the exact same time, and he got the problem within a few weeks. Mine was problem free from April when I bought it till just about a week ago when it out of the blue went absolutely hardcore into the voice search bug. It became utterly unusable. I couldn't go more than 30 seconds without it going spastic.
Been about a week now on baseband AUCKB2 without one epileptic search button fit.
Really really shameful performance on google's part that they have been sitting on this problem for three months now with no fix in sight. |
