I subscribed this thread a few days ago, and I'm shocked at how much traffic there is on it (without resolution) considering how long this phone has been available. For the record, I purchased my Nexus S on the day it became available on AT&T's network in the US from Best Buy. Hardware version is 11.07, software 2.3.4. I've been experiencing the "phantom search button press" since day 1. This is my first android phone after having owned every version of the iPhone since its release. For a flagship product with over 6 months of public availability and maturity behind it, I expected better.
