Are there any plans to offer expanded Google Drive web storage to purchasers of Nexus device?

For the first time in my life, I am strongly considering purchasing a Google Nexus device (the Nexus 7 to be precise) but the lack of an expandable storage option is making hesitant. While I appreciate Google's efforts to make the cloud easy and accessible, there are times when I may wish to access my content offline. If I am not capable of expanding my storage to accommodate my offline-viewing, I need a quick and easy way to transfer content to and from my device. Being forced to connect to my computer every time I need to transfer content can be a hassle, but an appropriate amount of web storage allowing me to transfer files to and from my device while connected to the internet prior to going offline would be invaluable. Having the ability to transfer files to my device on airport wifi prior to boarding would alleviate nearly all of my concerns regarding the lack of expandable storage.

Furthermore, with other manufacturers like HTC and Samsung offering expanded Dropbox storage for purchasing their devices, offering Google Drive storage to Nexus purchasers would be a natural step to push Google Drive as a competitive service to Dropbox as well as to keep Nexus devices competitive with other offerings.

So, to reiterate the title, are there any plans to offer Google Drive storage to Nexus device purchasers?
