I think its not possible to retrieve your old contact. Its your mistake when you ware sync your contact there ware options come "Delete contact from your phone and Keep contact  from phone." I think you had selected  "Delete contact from your". I want give you a suggestion first you get backup of your phone before doing any these kind activity.
