Why does my Nexus S not appear on my Google Dasboard?

I am led to believe that once the Google backup option is selected on my Nexus S (ICS 4.0.4) then some details about it should appear on my Google dashboard. However, when I logon all I see under Android Devices is 'Nothing interesting here'.

I have tried unticking backup, waiting a couple of days, ticking it again and then waiting a couple of days for it to appear on the dashboard but alas, nothing.

Is this a common issue? Is there anything I can do to fix?
