Purchased the Nexus last night. Phone works great. No issues with that.... But like you had mentioned, the voice command isn't working... The phone wouldnt allow me to speak into the mic. And an "server" error keeps popping up.
So I took the phone back to Verizon for a diagnosis. They deemed the phone to be faulty. Gave me a new one and same issue. But this time around, it allows me to speak into the "mic" icon.. But still doesnt recognize my query..
The tech then thought it could be the 4g sim card to be the issue... Swapped that out, still no workie... So after another 45 min of diagnosing (online/phone), the tech later found out that theres a nationwide issue with this feature.
Seems that some Nexus', not all has this issue... Seems to be a software issue which doesnt recognize English US. But a temporary fix is, switching it over to English UK.... Kinda annoying.. But I do hope the techs over at Google will fix this phone.
But only works if the language is switched over to UK english...
