Same issue with volume among several others- May be returning this phone- Between Verizon and Google, this phone stinks!
1- Ring tone quality.
2- Google Voice does not work on Verizon and if app deleted cannot go back to Verizon vm without tones of issues.
3- 4 contact categories in phone don't show of sync correctly with G mail contact.
4- CVS transfer changes all email, home and phones to other in g mail and phone rather than to what they were in the cvs file.

These are just the start!  Very pissed off right now and little to no help from Verizon or Google.
