Hi everyone. As I have mentioned in older posts regarding my Nexus S, I had the issue with the Google logo on, with the menu buttons lit and phone frozen during bootup. I tried my best to keep the phone from discharging, and was able to get it to reboot on the rare occassion where it fully discharged by letting it get really warm, and re-seating the battery multiple times. Unfortunately, when 2.3.6 was released OTA, phone attempted to download and install the image to sdcard, but on the mandatory reboot the phone hung, and no matter what I did(including warming up the phone and multiple battery re-seats), the phone couldn't see the internal sd memory at all, and would not boot bast the Google logo. I finally ended up sending up the "bricked" phone to Texas for repair, even though I now reside in Canada, and they ended up replacing the PBA. Upon receiving the repaired phone, it appears to work without any issues related to boot up or accessing the internal sd memory. I was without the phone for almost 2 weeks, including shipping time to the US, but there is not much that Google software can do to resolve defective hardware. However, I expect more from Google when they put their name on a phone with regards to working with their OEM partners to give more definitive answers once the underlying issue is known.
