Yep, it's crazy, but heating my Nexus S (2.3.4) that's stuck on the Google logo helps. Five times it crashed/emptied/turned off and wouldn't come back on. After putting it in the sun for a few minutes, taking the battery out and putting it back in again, and powering it up... Voila, it works again. FTW...
