As for me, trkck with turnin on Wi-Fi before starting Google Maps doesn't work at all. I asked a question to Nokia support service. They said that it's a software program problem, and I have to contact to Google suport for solution. As I understood, no solutoin was offerd by Google. Hope, Google will hear us and will make update soon.
