Google Post  June 22 2012

What is force close on a phone with the newest (LG-P970g) OS? What is Force Close on a previous phone (LG-P500h) with and without the update.

LG Canada Customer Support says its an Android / Google issue.
Koodo Canada says its nothing they can do anything about except warranty or replace the phones that have this possible OS issue.

Current Information:
I had to replace 2 phones; My cost, to try to stop this issue, only to find that the newest one had it or the same issue as well. Yes it's now the second LG P970g that's being tested to see if it has the fault.

Every thing has been looked at reset new Sim card, new memory card including a new phone replacement.. There were no added or additional apps on either of these phones. There were pictures and music and 6 short comedy videos. There were and are no viruses. The original product was well taken care of. the same was applied to the second phone. The Sim and memory cards were replaced just to see if the problem could be averted

There were other anomalies present via the touch pad registration. I.e. the phone in operation struggled to open the speaker or the dial pad...Force close appeared and cause messages to be sent to draft or deleted. Voice recognition would work better if I spoke Norwegian with a Swiss, German, Hindi accent. no offense to anyone Norwegian, Swiss, German or Hindi.

I'm Pissed that Android, Google and LG have insulated themselves from any or all responsibility. I'm Going to take this new one back before the 14 day return is required and get something that doesn't have Google or Android on in or around I unless some one steps up to the plate to address this.

To all of you Google, Android LG your customer services are lacking in the highest fashion. Over three days I have found no one who can do anything except point a finger.

I'm eliminating all things Google including this account once this asinine thread is completed.

I'd estimate I'm out about $140 bucks in gas, $150 for a phone, $235.70 for a new phone, $200 for mileage and Personal time is about 30 hours at 125.00 per hour = $3750.00

Total Wasted $4475.70.

I'm now going to look at forming a class action suit maybe USA and Canada because this problem seems clearly to have been overlooked and or passed on as it seems its been left unresolved over two classes of mobile phones. At least maybe I can recoup the cost of my time and the money I have spent trying to resolve this issue.

My suggestion before that is, that some one who has some form of ability to act in a responsible professional manner contact me immediately and attempt to resolve this issue fairly with some expedience before it takes the next step.

I will be contacting the C.C.T.S.; The Independent Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services, in Canada to formalize a complaint shortly.

OH BTW
Google, Android and LG Electronics...you built these products. Your Partners in this problem. Don't you think its time to deal with it???
Your policies and behavior only warrants the following in any or all fairness for the wonderful, professional and  kind way you have treated me, your Client.
F,U!!!..

Strong letter to follow...
