I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble! I'm not seeing the problem on an iPad 2, so let's try to figure out what's different between your situation and mine.
What type of iPad are you using, and what version of the OS do you have? (to find the OS version, go to Settings -> General -> About -> Version).
Are you able to access search results and websites without trouble?
What type of network are you on? Wifi, 3G, Edge? Are you able to change networks and reproduce the problem there as well?
Does the error message show every time you tap any of the apps?
