I'm having similar problems. My original upload all never completed, leaving about 25 pictures that refuse to upload. Since then automatic uploads have never worked properly. I have taken nearly 50 photos and only 8 have uploaded instantly. The rest are still just on my phone. I have had the pictures on for about 2 weeks now and have travelled between 3G network, Wi-Fi, and 36 and wi-fi shared and still no update. I have also checked all of my settings both in my google account and on my iPhone 4 and everything is seemingly set to work appropriately. Kind of frustrating. I'm having similar problems with the cloud from my iPhone. Only about half of my photos ever make it to the cloud and out of that half about 50 percent makes it to sync with my iPad. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which photos get uploaded. All Chance.
