If you are using Google Search on your Android device > tap G Search icon in apps > tap Menu > tap Search Settings > tap Searchable Items > enable Drive > tap Home 

Upload images from your Android Gallery to Google Drive to store, view and share images in Google Drive. On Android > tap Drive triangle app icon (replaced Google Docs) > to the left of the upper right magnifier glass click on the document icon >  tap Upload (scroll down in landscape view to Upload) > My Gallery > tap desired image > OK On Android > tap Drive triangle app icon (replaced Google Docs) > to the left of the upper right magnifier glass click on the document icon >  tap Upload (scroll down in landscape view to Upload) > My Gallery > tap desired image > OK
