I really like ICS so far except the lack of a persistent search button and this volume issue. I used timeriffic on my D1 to automatically turn off notifications at night so i could get some sleep but leave the ringer volume loud enough to wake the dead. ICS really seems to be a step backwards in this area. It might be an acceptable solutions for tablets but not acceptable for phones. Please bring back separate volumes for notification and ringer Google!
