This is very bad backward step of google maps for android. It was fantastic to pre-cache a 16 square miles map of any part of the world using google labs offline cache. Now it cant be done, because there is no offline map available for latam. Last month in a trip to Lima Peru it was awesome to offline cache the city using the Hotel´s wifi. Please return to the previous behavior of the app.
