Topic: Using Google Voice for international calls while out of the US
I have been using Google Voice within the US for a couple of years now and like it because it gives callers a single number to reach me on my business, home and mobile phones. I am about to travel abroad. I have read the Google documentation on international calling and find it spotty and not very informative. Do my Google Voice calls use my data plan while abroad?
Should I try to use WiFi connections where possible while abroad so that I don't over-use my international data plan?
Can I forward my US business calls to Google Voice so that I don't miss any business calls?
If US callers dial my US Google Voice number, will it ring when I am abroad? Do the posted rates apply?
If I am abroad and use my Google Voice iPhone app to call a number in the same country, which rates apply?
