I just read your posted question. The same happened to me. The deal probably that whoever has the number you posted is getting the texted code sent from Gmail to verify you as the owner of that email address. I would consider inputing another number that you have access to. Otherwise, you can only call the number that Google is texting you at and tell them what is going on. Good luck
