It's a wonderful thing, Google Maps, but it is does not compare well to the maps in our old textbooks.  State and country (?) capitals are not so indicated by a star, underline, etc.  Try finding the name of a river or lake.  Also, state and country border lines are very hard to discern.  Perhaps different colors could be used for contiguous states and countries.
