Maps GL keeps asking me if I want to install it even after I've installed it!

This is the third time this has happened.  OK, so Maps GL is the greatest thing since the light bulb.  So install it.  A few weeks later, same browser, GoogleMaps announces Maps GL is the greatest thing since the light bulb, so I install it again.  And now it's happened again.  Yes, I have cookies enabled.  Tired of this browser asking me to install something I've installed again and again!
