Sorry, I do not understand what you mean.
If you speak your search query then your voice is recorded on the phone and sent as an audio clip to Google servers for Speech-to Text processing and the search is performed returning search results.
I am pretty sure that is the need to record audio for, I doubt Maps would record any other audio on your phone, just the spoken queries.
