Can't use Google Chrome to add a business listing to Google Places

I've had this issue for a while but hope this group can help solve it.

I add a lot of businesses for my clients to Google Maps but whenever I use Chrome (my preferred browser) it doesn't update the location map when an address and postcode (zip code) is added.

The map remains blank and I always end up having to login to Google Places using Firefox to get the map to appear with the business location.

I am using Chrome Version 20.0.1132.43 on a Mac 10.6.8
