My Google maps button has worked fine for over a year, but today I changed the default address to my postcode instead of a nearby town.

 

It was immediately after doing this that I got the 'loading' message and the suggestion to swap to a basic system but no maps and nothing worked. I couldn't do anything but when I clicked the 'loading' message the basic system immediately showed the map and the postcode.

 

I've uninstalled the Google toolbar, reinstalled it, and the **** thing has still remembered the postcode which appears to have screwed it up in the first place so it's still not working.

 

I feel that if I could clear the maps option completely including the default location, I might stand a chance. Someone please help if you can.
