I agree with this posting. I am a firm believer in citizen journalism as well as any organizations with the media capabilities of impacting the national/local debate on important issues and news having the tools to present their messages. I for one am trying to launch virtual town halls using Google Hangouts, but the option to use the On Air feature seems not to be available for my account. These kinds of awesome tools from Google should be more than "fun" for kids who want silly mustaches and hats overlaid on their faces. Serious people want to use this service too.
