I had an old gmail account that I'd forgotten about, and when I went add my hotmail acct as an alternate email on the new google account (created so I could sign into Google Chrome so I could block pop-ups), I got the error message advising that MY hotmail account was already associated with another google acct.  So, I backed out...went to gmail and tried to log in, got the forgot password link (sent to my hotmail account of course) and then proceeded to close that google account and completely delete it.  Then I went back to new google account, and attempted again to use my hotmail as my alternate email, and it still would not allow it, still telling me that the hotmail account was already associated with another google account.  I don't know what I can do about this.  Any help out there?
