I have not started to move out from GMail because I need to give a follow up in that thread, it is my priority number 1. But if that is definitely lost I will start my priority number 2, which is move out from Gmail if the trust is lost. I have been in Gmail since the beginning when it was needed a invitation to open an account. And I stitched to it because it proved to be safe in both ways, storage and access, and has less spam. But the safety is now compromised on the provider side, and I take that very seriously.
