Hello CuriousJM, first I want to thank you for this thorough write up! I can appreciate how frustrating this must for you and all of the other GEC members who have similar posting history. I also recognize how important it is to be able to search for all of your previous posts and get accurate results.
Given that, please know that we are working on it! :) We're still ironing out a number of important features that we've had to go live without, to get the GEC back up and running quickly, so we have a fairly long list of things we are still working on. Among those are the ability to share from Google Earth to the GEC, publishing kmz/kml posts from the GEC to the Community layer in Google Earth, plus a list of under-the-hood features to help the excellent moderators manage the GEC Group. :) That being said, we're also working on improving the search results. :)
Your resent experience and write-up are extremely helpful to us, and I appreciate your patience and the effort you put into your report. :)
Please know we're working on it and should have it improved soon.
