As the tallest lighhouse in the nation, I was quite dismayed that it wasn't in the listed in the lighthouse layer.

When I was stationed in Elizabeth City from 1973 to 1977, I would spend just about every weekend camping in the nearby National Park campground. Surfing or surf fishing (depending what was better that particular day) all day and blissfully sleeping at night, lulled by the sound of the surf breaking on the beach on the other side of the dune line.

Obviously one of my favorite places I've ever been.
