A number of you folks report being frustrated 'cause the image refreshes (re-fetches) if you move or wait 4 seconds. Here's what I do to get manual refresh(I use the "USGS Ortho 1 meter" the most"):
1. Load the 3DSolar placemark.
2. Click the box so it'll get the sub-items
3. Edit the subitem (USGS Ortho 1 meter)
3a. Click the box for "refresh parameters" to bring up options
3b. make sure Time-based refresh is "once" and View-based refresh is "on request"
4. Zoom in/out, taking snapshots (right-click placemark / refresh), until I get the closest image it'll give me.
5. Then I can zoom in/out & pan around without losing the overlaid image.
