I was able to see the Japanese street names, and it was a great overlay map for Juneau Alaska with TERRAIN TURNED ON It shaped itself to the mountains just fine, and it didn't go crazy when I changed the compass direction and angle of view.

It's very useful to quickly see place names and street routes to determine where the two systems agree and differ.

Now if only we had slider controls for the Maps transparency and level numbers
