Nice, but the location is incorrect  .... You used the location of the initial flank eruption, which has since stopped. The second and active eruption is at the summit caldera here: 63.625856° -19.633966° You might also want to combine this with the GeoEye image from 17 April. I think it would be even more interesting to do this type of overlay with some of the webcam locations around Eyjafjallajökull to watch the eruption in real time. The attached kmz has the webcam locations and links along with overlays of the latest satellite imagery. |
