Hi, I just tried a search for a US address, and it did give the zip code.  However, there has been one previous report of this.  Could you tell us which version of Google Earth you are using?  You can see this in the Help menu, "About Google Earth".  And give us an example of what you are entering into the search box when the zip code doesn't appear?
