Google earth could delineate wind farm areas without showing individual turbines for general planning purposes.  Pilots often rely on google earth for general avoidance of such obstacles when planning flights.

There are many reasons why these turbines should not be close to airports or ground based navigation stations.  Tracking their proliferation in metropolitan areas would allow cities council and municipal governments as well as private citizens to pre-view the effects of such areas to minimize impact and approve construction.
