Hi! I am from West Virginia and most of my working years were in Michigan. Now I live in New Mexico and teach online courses. I use Google Chrome,  Voice, Search, Images, Picasa, Maps, YouTube, News, Calendar, Play, Android, Google+ a little (109783265662326134515) and Twitter a little more (elimseoj). I have used Google Drive (was Docs) since September 2009. I use Documents to develop and share course material and Spreadsheets sometimes for the same. I also share Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files via Drive. I use Documents and Spreadsheets for a host of personal work and just stored 8,000+ pictures on Drive. I shared those picture files with my spouse. I have uploaded TrueCrypt files for backup for over a year. I stopped using external hard drives for backup over a year ago and have not needed a USB drive for about two years now because almost all places that I am online I feel comfortable getting the files I need from Drive. The Google two-step login process makes me feel confident accessing most files at hotels and other public WiFi locations.
