I still don't see how I can cause my spreadsheet to return the data in the form view.

To see if I get it, are you perhaps saying that I must put in a URL formulated in a particular way inside the spreadsheet (per row/submission)? If I click on that URL in the spreadsheet, it would take me to a browser window showing me my form, yet populated with content?

The question remains, can my particular form be made to do this?
And, how do I go about preparing the URL for each unique entry (or is it one URL format and that's it)?
