As for the inability to edit placements...that sounds like a bug! If you can't click on the name of the placement and edit the placement contents...then either your access has been restricted by the admin on your account...or there is something amiss.
Check your access first...if that doesn't seem to be the issue, then file a bug on this. There's a little "report a bug" link in the top right corner of DFP SB.
