The Flash file has to have clickTAG implemented in the Flash file in order for DFP to track clicks. You can insist upon it but if it's not designed with clickTAG, they may not be able to provide it.
clickTAG doesn't directly impact the actual click processing if they have the URL hardcoded into the Flash file. clickTAG really is just to let DFP pass through it's Click Tracking URL so that it can track clicks.
If you choose not have it, then DFP will not be able to track clicks but it should serve fine (whether or not the Flash file works fine though is an issue with the Flash file not DFP). |
