Seriously. Why does Google assume that a Linux user needs restriction on running as root? I've only been doing this since Redhat 7.x (I'm now running Fedora 17). If they want to create a "you are running as root" advisory that runs ONCE, I can put up with it but forcing me to change the structure of Chrome is preposterous. I'm not interested in a run-as-unprivileged-user food fight. Others are free to do as they choose. Ultimately, I don't need adult supervision. |
