(For Windows 7 users:)
this forum was a breath of fresh air. I followed the steps of rdnetto - and many thanks to all of you for this great info. Here is my input.
I am running the newest Chrome (as of 11/17/09) on Windows 7.
Foxit does not install the OCX file when Firefox is NOT installed. I could not find the OCX file by itself anywhere, so, I installed Firefox and reinstalled Foxit w/ the Firefox addon. Then, the OCX file was available in the plugins folder in Foxit. I then copied the .dll to exist in a newly created "Plugins" folder off the Chrome.exe directory (which is NOT in Program Files - definitely search for Chrome.exe). Then, I kept the OCX where it was, and I registered it, with priveleges in command prompt:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\plugins\FoxitReaderOCX.ocx"
now everything is working fine! |
