Right click search box text--> Edit search engines...--> click "google.com (Default)" --> Edit

Replace the URL with this one instead:

http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS264&q=%s&btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky

click OK-->Close

Voilà.  Just like FireFox; works nicely.

Explanation: When you go to websites with search engines, google chrome usually saves the search engines in this "Edit search engines" thing, so what I did was I set another search engine as my default(I used wordreference, which kind of got annoying), deleted "google.com" as one of the search engines, and started using the "I'm feeling lucky" search button on google several times. Then, in the "edit search engines", google.com appears again with a different URL (the one I pasted above), and I set that as my default (no keyword necessary!). After doing that, I found out how to save more useful search engines such as youtube, Barnes & Noble, dictionary.com, etc. It seems much more useful than firefox now.
